The insensitivity of the Three Little Pigs

An updated version of the Three Little Pigs was turned down for a government prize in England because “the use of pigs raises cultural issues.” The Brits felt the story might be offensive to Muslims, who consider pigs to be unclean. But no Muslims even complained!

Note the progression from stifling oneself because of external fears to stifling oneself voluntarily for no good reason. Notice too how an earnest multiculturalism is destroying actual culture.

The one time I passed through London briefly, a few years ago, I walked past the Houses of Parliament. I noticed an equestrian statue in front. It was a statue of Richard the Lionhearted.

What was he famous for? Oh yes. He was a crusader.

Fortunately, nobody in England knows any history anymore, so I suppose they’ll just relabel him “Saladin,” and nobody’ll mind.

I don’t get it. How are Muslims going to object to a story in which the bad guy wants to eat pork?
