Forensics experts have reconstructed the faces of other historical figures, just as they did St. Nicholas (see yesterday’s post), based on study of their skulls. Here is Copernicus:

Here is possibly Phillip II of Macedon, Alexander the Great’s one-eyed father (though the identification has been disputed and is possibly that of Phillip III who succeeded Alexander):

The model makers have made Copernicus look like the actor James Cromwell who plays Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek: First Contact – the man who first makes contact with alien beings…

Is that geekier than noticing what they’ve done?

They could also do this with Ambrose of Milan, as his remains are still there beneath the altar of the church where he served. (Protasius and Gervasius are also buried there, but we have to draw the line somewhere.)
