We’ve been in St. Louis over the Easter weekend. Our granddaughter Mary May Hensley was baptized during the Easter vigil. Our whole family got together for the occasion, all of our (grown) children and their families, my parents, my sister and my nephew, our son-in-law’s mother and a good friend (and Mary’s godfather) from Australia. There were 16 of us in all, including all three grandchildren. We were all going to church, commandeering restaurants, holding crowded meals in our Resident Inn room. It was a wonderful Easter for all kinds of overlapping and related reasons.

Congratulations, Grandpa! Welcome to the faith Mary May!
Now THERE'S a happy Soldier for Christ!
"How blessed is this Night when innocence is restored to the fallen."
Must be a trick of perspective. That basin looks way too small to dunk her in.
Wow. Mary is beautiful. I can see both her parents and her aunt in her. Especially in that wonderful smile.
Kyralessa,
She's not a doughnut!
A little water along with that Word of promise is enough.
Mary May is beautiful and blessed. And baptized!
Thought about you all all day Sunday and how cool it is that she's part of the Family of God now!
Sounds like a big happy gathering too!
Sorry about the double post – it told me it didn't post it! Whoops
I'm Orthodox. When we baptize a baby, that baby goes *all* the way in. Three times!
