I will help you rebuild.

Walmart will be having an earthquake sale. You can replace the chair.

In these tough times it might be more prudent to just stand it back up.

I know that will not create any new jobs, however.

You’re right, Bob. Toss it and buy another one.

Tape the scene off, get samples. Earthquake my foot! Looks like someone was cheating at the poker game.

I predict thousands of church youth groups will descend upon north-central Virginia and restore many chairs (and tables!) to their upright positions in the next year.

Don’t miss the Twitter earthquake humor. A sample:
“Obama Administration announces earthquake came from a little know geological structure, the Bush Fault. USGS to make official name ‘Bush’s Fault Earthquake’.”

Nice one, Rose!

@6

Earthquake was a result of Chris Christie jumping into the presidential race

Here I thought the earthquake was from the debt collapsing!

The left coast is bankrupt and can’t afford to produce any more earthquakes. So the right coast needs to pick up the slack.

This made the rounds on FB yesterday — especially among those of us from the left coast. :-)

Seriously, though, that was a legitimate earthquake, especially for the east coast and its thousands of old unreinforced masonry structures. Fortunately, the epicenter was in a rural area or it would have caused significant damage, as the 1987 Whittier earthquake (5.9 Richter scale) did in downtown Whittier.
